2016 International Forum on Biomedical Textile Materials (IFBMTM) was held from June 16 to 17 in Donghua University, Shanghai, China. The theme of the forum was “Biomedical Textiles: the Complete Product Life Cycle”. Professors, industrial representatives and students from China, USA, Canada and Pakistan attended this forum and discussed about the current state of art and promising future of biomedical textile materials. Dr. Martin W. King co-chaired this international forum with Dr. Lu Wang from Donghua University. There were six keynote speaker presentations followed with six student oral presentations and poster session. Three graduate students from NC State University got awards. Jiyang Chen and Hui Cong won the Silver Award and the Bronze Award for Oral Presentation, respectively. Ting He won the Extraordinary Poster Presentation.
