On Wednesday afternoon, Oct 17, 2018, Monica Vijay Deshpande passed the oral examination for her Master of Science in Textile Engineering degree. Her research was focused on “Poly(ε-caprolactone) Resorbable Knitted Auxetic Scaffolds for Craniofacial Skeletal Muscle Regeneration”.
She answered many questions asked by her examining committees,Dr. Stephen Michielsen(TECS),Dr. Matthew Fisher(BME) and external member Dr. Susan Bernacki, about her research project involving the use of auxetic fabrics to support muscle cell regeneration in the mouth. Well done, Monica!! You worked hard to give a strong and well organized presentation.
