Collection Title:  Not Just a Fairytale

Bio

Following the footsteps of her mother, Megan was also very interested in the arts. Dress up, craft making, painting, and sewing all became regular activities for her. You could never find her in normal clothing or free of paint stains in her hair. Megan’s love for fashion grew even more once she started taking fashion construction in high school. Taking every class available and then independently studying in art and pattern making, Megan knew exactly what she wanted to pursue in college. During college, she found the delicate interplay between the structure and materials of bridal gowns to be a rewarding challenge. After placing 1st in NC State’s Fashion Week in 2013, Megan was given a prestigious internship at Vera Wang in New York City.   The rewarding experience caused her passion for couture fashion to grow even more. With the support of her parents, and her passion for fashion, Megan knew that she wanted to make a career out of something she enjoyed doing most. In her eyes, work should be something you love to do, and couldn’t live a day without doing.

Collection Description: Inspired by one of Megan’s favorite designers, Elie Saab, and her favorite TV show, Reign, Megan wanted to introduce a collection that embodied the softness of femininity from the past while also embracing the structured fashion of now. In her collection each romanticized gown will include a complementing modern look. Now every girl can live the dream and know it was not just a fairytale.
