During the Cold War American pilots delivered candy to the children of Berlin. To the children, many who had never tasted candy or chocolate, the planes might have seemed like magic carpets. Carly’s collection is inspired by this act. Her collection will be created from upcycled sample carpets lined with Jacquard Woven Material designed in the weaving lab at N.C. State University.
