Collection Description: The Collection title is a combination of the words “transformation” and “primavera” meaning “springtime” in Italian serving as a reflection of the designer’s time spent in Italy this past spring.  For Derrico the travels abroad symbolized a personal transformation and evolution from adolescence into adulthood.  Inspiring Derrico with his journey the concept of shedding former immaturity in order to capitalize on growth in prosperity unfolds on the runway before you.  As the snow covered patchwork fields of Germany melt into flowing creeks of the Italian Riviera providing nourishment for green life at the edges of the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean so does the collection drift in and out of chiffon ruffles, charmeuse pleats and cascading gathers.  Color and silhouette research stems from the collections of the fall 2015 and spring 2016 runways with hints of Gucci and Balmain throughout.  With a Jenna Lyons inspired customer in mind, the garments cater to an artistically educated upper-class sophisticated woman who is characterized by her ability to savor the superior and celebrate the uncommon.  Unique is a Davis Derrico design and so is the woman who wears one.
