Awards

Oral presentation and poster presentation competitions will be held for graduate students who are participating in the Wilson College of Textiles Research Open House 2024. 

Award #1: Poster Presentation Competition 

Poster topics will be related to any facet of the Wilson College of Textiles, including textile and apparel design, technology, and management; textile engineering, chemistry and science, nonwovens, etc.

Judging Information

Judges will ask each poster presenter questions about their work. Scores will be recorded and winners will be presented after all the sessions are over.

The prizes for the poster presentation competition are as follows

• 1st place = $300
• 2nd place = $200
• 3rd place = $100

Award #2: Oral Presentation Competition

Students are tasked with condensing their research into a 10 minute explanation of the purpose and importance of their research, while also proposing solutions or meaningful findings. 

The prizes for the oral presentation competition are as follows

• 1st place = $500
• 2nd place = $300
• 3rd place = $150

Judging information

Judges will be given rubrics based on which the presenters would be evaluated and then recognised for their work during the award ceremony after all the sessions are over.
