Ying Zhou

I am a Ph.D. student in Fiber and Polymer Science at NC State. I came to NC State after receiving an M.S. in Textile Engineering in my native China. I researched on the red-shift of the Au Nanoparticles monolayer and bio-detection of the silver nano-layers based on the fluorescence enhancement by Layer-by-layer assembly technology. Then I came to NCSU, I do some nanofabrication work, like manufacture half Au shell on the upconversion nanoparticle (UCNP), UCNP array work.

My current research interests are in barium titanate nanoparticles dielectric ink and its applications in textiles and high dielectric inks. Besides doing research and experiments, I enjoy hiking and cooking.
