Call for Papers
The Fiber Society seeks papers on fundamental research related to the science and engineering of fibers and fibrous materials for its 2022 Fall Meeting and Technical Conference, scheduled for October 19-21, 2022, at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. Submissions of original work related but not limited to the following themes are welcomed:
- Fiber Formation, Structure and Properties
- Fiber Testing and Characterization
- Natural Fibers
- Fiber Composites
- Fibers for Energy and Sensor Applications
- Fashion and Costume
- Yarns & Fabrics: Processes, Structures & Properties
- Fiber Surfaces and Interfaces
- Functional Fibers
- Smart Polymers, Fibers and Textiles
- Fibers for Healthcare and Medical Applications
- Fibers for Protection Applications
- Textile/Apparel Marketing and Management
Online submissions only will be accepted beginning June 20th, 2022. Access the Fiber Society website at thefibersociety.org and follow the link for submission; do not email your submission. Formatting guidelines for oral and poster abstracts are provided online. Submissions must be in the proper Word document format; no PDFs. Submission deadline has been extended to August 23rd, 2022. Notification of acceptance will be no later than September 1st, 2022.
Conference registration will be online through the Fiber Society website. We hope everyone can attend the Fall 2022 Conference in person to enjoy the presentations and networking. However, you can also attend the conference virtually as a general participant or as an oral speaker if you are unable to travel. (Posters cannot be presented virtually.) You can select the in-person or virtual option during registration. Up-to-date information about the conference, hotel accommodations, travel, and more will be available on the website as details are finalized.
