The International Conference and Exhibition on Polymer Chemistry in Atlanta, Georgia during November 14-16 2016 saw great participation from renowned researchers and scholars across the globe. The oral and poster presentations showed exemplary research in polymer technologies and applications.
Bhavya Singhi and Radhika Vaid, who are pursuing PhD Fiber and Polymer Science at the Wilson College of Textiles, NC State University presented a poster on “Solvent Spinning of Bacterial Polyester”. This novel study is focused on developing a single step process for drug incorporation during fiber spinning for healthcare applications. Their work was highly appreciated and they were awarded the Best Poster Presentation at the conference.
